Breaking the Block

Posted on November 4th, by Lindsay Goldner in Uncategorized. No Comments

So, I’m feeling writer’s block already, and it’s only 4 days into NaBloPoMo. Whoopsies!

Apparently, the best solution to curbing (heh) writer’s block is to write through it so I figured I’d write about things that I love and that make me happy!

Kittens

I went to the MSPCA last night with Kristen and omgawwwwd kittehs. I absolutely fell in love with one, a 3-month old fluffy black girl with cute little ear tufts who started purring the moment I picked her up. She reminded me of Finn at that age, so itty with a purr twice his size. I’m kittehsitting Kristen’s Saturday, so expect a kittehpic post soon.

{look at that punim!!}

(Digital) Window Shopping

Since most of the good shopping in Boston is downtown, I’ve been doing more window-shopping online. Sites like Modcloth and SnappyTuna (a private sale site for home stuff) make me happy in the pants, even if I don’t have too much money to buy right now. It’s always fun to look!

Grilled Chee(zus)

Total comfort food and it also makes me happy in the pants (although it also makes said pants a bit tighter too!) Especially grilled cheese with parmesan crust… mmm, totally a religious experience. Add some ham, like the Croque Monsieur at The Foundry? Doesn’t get any better.

Broadway Musicals

It started with Phantom way way back in the day, but my love for musicals really began with Rent, in junior high. Rent was the first musical that ever made me cry because I got so completely involved in it. The harmonies still give me goosebumps, and I’ve since branched out to shows like Wicked, The Last 5 Years, Rocky Horror, take your pick, I love ‘em all.

Twitter

What? I like teh Twitter? Stop the presses!

Ok yeah, that one was a gimme. But really, Twitter had opened up lots of opportunities and relationships that I never ever would have had otherwise. One of them is a surprise that I’m dying to tell you about… hopefully the week after next I’ll be able to spill the beans on that!

Reese’s

Peanut butter and choclatey goodness… what more can a girl ask for? Combine a Reese’s and a Diet Coke (another addiction of mine) and I can die happy.

Chunky Rings

Even though they turn my fingers green 99.9% of the time, I have a love affair with big chunky (fake) cocktail rings. Maybe it’s because I have 5-year old hands and itty bitty fingers, but there’s something so fun and feminine about wearing a big honkin shiny ring… and that is precisely why I either need to marry VERY rich or get a guy who will buy me a big rock of CZ- don’t care what it’s made of, as long as it’s big and shiny!

{gaudy owl ring? yes please!}
